There’s an App for That

Students take note: MyEdu is a social media tool that allows students to track courses and related skills, then link those skills to potential career paths, and hopefully, actual employers.

University of Louisiana System President Sandra Woodley, encouraged colleges and universities to implement apps that provide  links between students and possible future employers (as reported by Lauren McGaughy of NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013).

UL president says Louisiana colleges, universities should use 
technology to steer students toward in-demand careers.

So, I checked out the site; very visual, reminds me of a Pinterest board. 

MyEdu helps students to Tell Their Story in a visual profile. They also list over 6,000 internships! Other features include;

It will be interesting to see, in a year from now, how many students found jobs using the web site.
